Dos Águilas is a group of nine professional musicians,
hailing from various Latin American countries and Germany.

The band spent a long time searching for the perfect name.
Ultimately, they chose “Dos Águilas“—which means “Two Eagles” in Spanish—
because both Germany and Mexico feature an eagle on their national emblems.
This name beautifully symbolizes the connection between Mexican and German cultures that defines their identity.
Dos Águilas is instrumentally diverse, featuring:
3 violins, 2 trumpets, a vihuela, a guitarrón, a guitar, and, of course, their powerful voices!
(After all, the human voice—with its unique volume, pitch, melody, and intonation—is one of the most beautiful instruments of all! )
The band’s instruments are custom-made, crafted specifically for their performances.
The vihuela, for instance, isn’t available in Germany and had to be made in Mexico,
just like their stunning, traditional mariachi costumes.
Although the group consists of nine musicians, they don’t always perform as a full ensemble.

Quartet or quintett.
Quartet: A combination of violin, trumpet, guitarrón, and vihuela.
Quintet: Two violins, guitarrón, trumpet, and vihuela.
While they can be booked as a trio for other events,
they do not recommend this option for weddings, as there are simply too few instruments and voices for a full mariachi experience.
